How the CARES Act Will Help Your Business
- Pausing the payment of payroll taxes, which will grant businesses relief so they have more cash to keep employees on their payrolls.
- Establishes Paycheck Protection Program to provide up to $10 million in grants and loans to help businesses with operating costs. Loans are refundable if employees are retained or rehired. The SBA began to accept applications for a second round of PPP funding on April 27.
- Expands the U.S. Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program to provide up to $10,000 grants for applicants and initial disbursements of up to $15,000 in low-interest loans for small businesses. SBA applications are currently open for agricultural interests only.
